Adam is an accomplished entrepreneur, media executive and content producer with almost twenty years of success in the entertainment and digital industries.

Adam is currently in stealth mode on a new venture in the creator space. He participated in Antler Capital’s (pre)accelerator program for six weeks in Boulder, CO this past fall.

In his most recent role as Chief Content Officer, Adam launched Creator+ a low budget feature film studio and distribution platform in partnership with top digital creators. In less than one year, Adam and his studio team developed, physically produced and premiered two independent feature films: Diamond in the Rough featuring social media influencer, entrepreneur, and former Sway House Member Griffin Johnson, and actress Samantha Boscarino (Disney’s Good Luck Charlie) now available on Peacock and JANE starring Madelaine Petsch (Riverdale), 5x Grammy-nominated singer songwriter Chlöe Bailey and Melissa Leo (Oscar winner, The Fighter). JANE premiered in limited AMC Theatres in August 2022 and is now available on Starz.

Prior to Creator+, Adam was Co-Founder and Partner of Select Management Group where he managed the career growth of top YouTube Creators including Gigi Gorgeous, MyLifeAsEva, LaurDIY, and more. Wescott strengthened and expanded relationships with YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Refinery29, among other leading media platforms and players. Under Select’s entertainment arm, Third Act Entertainment (formerly SelectNext), Wescott produced hundreds of hours of short form video content including the hit satirical music single “Literally, My Life” (now over 50M Total Views), “How to Survive High School” with MyLifeAsEva (over 70M Views) and many short form output deals with platforms including Facebook Watch, IGTV, Snap Originals and Viacom.

SelectNext debuted its first feature-length film “This Is Everything: Gigi Gorgeous” at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival. Wescott personally developed, sold and produced the project after securing two-time Oscar winner Barbara Kopple as director. The film is available on YouTube Originals (SVOD) and appeared at film festivals around the world including the San Francisco International Film Festival, Curious Minds Hot Docs, Tel Aviv International LGBT Film Festival, DocEdge Australia, Video Junkee Australia, and more.

Additionally, Wescott developed, sold and produced SelectNext’s first single-camera half-hour comedy, “Me and My Grandma,” starring MyLifeAsEva and four-time Emmy winner Rhea Perlman. The series is available on YouTube Originals (SVOD).

In February 2020, Third Act announced a sale to industry leaders Propagate and management firm Artists First with Peter Principato joining Adam and the Select partners on the Board of Third Act.

In addition to content development and production, Wescott has successfully launched several original product ventures in partnership with top Creators including Hairitage by Mindy McKnight in all U.S. Walmart locations, Sacheu Beauty by Sarah Cheung, Backyard Roses by Tess Christine, and more.

Previously, Adam served as principal consultant and executive producer to Refinery29 and Nylon TV, among others. As Vice President of Owned and Operated Properties for EQAL (acquired by EverydayHealth), Adam developed and ran more than 25 celebrity editorial websites in partnership with Bethenny Frankel, Nick Cannon, Lauren Conrad and created the Google-funded Original Channel ‘u look haute’ featuring YouTube sensations Elle and Blair Fowler. Earlier in his career he spent four and a half years managing E! Entertainment and Style Network’s creation and distribution of online video.

Adam is a contributing author of “YouTube Channels for Dummies” and is YouTube-Certified in Audience Growth. He is a contributor to Forbe’s Hollywood & Entertainment section and frequently speaks at events including CES, DEW, VidCon and more. Adam is also an activist for LGBTQ+ rights working closely with GLAAD, LA LGBT Center, Trevor Project, and the Children’s Hospital of LA Trans Youth Program.
